Welp, I was inspired today, and poured about 3 or 4 hours into a design for my new website, Andonuts.net.

And I am now currently using the design. I’ll be updating it over the next few days, so it’ll be a little wonky until then.

(Note that those sample photos are not by me, they’re from interfacelift. I just needed some test photos.)

New Name

Well, since I’ve had this domain for a couple years now and I hardly remember what the “DCM” stands for in the name, I thought it would be a good idea to get a shorter, more interesting name. One that also doesn’t limit me to only “software.”

Some of you may have already heard, but the new domain I have chosen is … drum roll … andonuts.net. Yep that’s right. Andonuts. Like “an” and “donuts.” Earthbound fans will recognize it right off, it comes from Dr. Andonuts, a character from Earthbound. He’s basically a goofy absentminded professor who turns out to be a key player in the game’s final chapters.

Along with the domain name change, I’ll also be redoing the site’s design. I’ll be making all the graphical elements this time around, though I will still be using WordPress. Though whether or not I’ll start a new theme from scratch, modify an existing theme or use a style for K2 I haven’t decided yet. I have decided on a logo for the site though, take a look:

Snazzy, eh? I want to take a new direction with this site. I’d like to post up not only my programming work, but also the occasional logo, website design, or other graphic design piece. I could also have a section for my average photography skills. It will be a more personal website than this; a website about me and the crazy things I do. :p

Yep. That’s the project I’ve been working on for a bit over a year now. I’m really happy with how it’s turning out, we’ve really got a great team together. And after this year or more of programming, I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know I’ve said it before, but this time I really mean it.

I’d say the engine is well over the halfway mark, there are some more details I need to work out, but it’s looking good so far. (Well isn’t that a juicy tidbit for all you fans. I’m looking at you Food_Eater.) Anyway, the real point of the post was to get a link out there for the game’s website. It’s the lovely large lettered link below. (+1 for alliteration.)

Go visit it! I’ve put some good work into the site, and I’d love to see it get used. There’s also a very small trickle of fan art that you could check out, and some screenshots as well.
